Carson & Ashley got married at Brookland Pointe on Edisto Island. I must say, this place is amazing! Beautiful oak trees, Spanish moss, and riverfront property are just some of the wonderful features this place offers! We arrived early on Saturday afternoon to check out the place and find some cool spots to shoot at. I’m really glad we did because I found the perfect spot that was just a short golf-cart ride away from the ceremony. Carson & Ashley got ready in the guest rooms of the gorgeous house located on the property. During that time everyone was relaxed and stress free, which doesn’t happen to often. The ceremony location overlooks a small river on the island, covered beneath historic oak trees. After Carson & Ashley exchanged vows with one another, everyone transitioned into the reception for delicious food, great fellowship, and lots of crazy dancing. Carson & Ashley are incredibly happy with their wedding and she’s already told me that they absolutely loved their photos! Comment on them below and tell us what you think!
I had an AMAZING time photographing Derek and Susan’s wedding, they are such wonderful people! They came down from Kentucky to Hilton Head to fulfill Susan’s dream of getting married on the beach. Most everyone at the wedding is family. Every year their entire family has a huge reunion back home and for the past 30ish years it’s been held at the same location. However, this time they decided to change it up a bit and combine the Derek and Susan’s wedding with the a week long reunion/vacation for everyone. I’ve gotten to know Derek and Susan pretty well over the past few months and especially at the wedding, it felt like I was part of the family. Their wedding was incredible and everyone had such a blast! The morning after, we did a trash-the-dress session at sunrise on the beach. Derek and Susan both jumped in the ocean, ruining the wedding dress to symbolize that neither of them will ever marry again. What a wonderful thing!!! Enough with me talking, check out the photos to see for yourself!
Rachel and I have gotten to know each other fairly well over the past six months. Especially, since I photographed her at Matt’s wedding, engagement photos, and bridal portraits. These two first met a few years ago while interning at the Wild Dunes Resort in Mt. Pleasant. I’m happy to say that things definitely worked out really well for both of them. Rachel and Matt had a gorgeous wedding at The Island House in Charleston. I’ve shot here many times and the weather always seems to turn how better than expected. I had a great time hanging out with all the bridesmaids at Stella Nova Salon in West Ashley. They were such a fun group of crowd, it definitely made my job easier. Later that day, everyone arrived at the house to finish getting ready and prepare for the ceremony to take place on the lawn adjacent to the river. Rachel and Matt exchanged personal letters with one another before the ceremony. Matt must have said some pretty deep and meaningful words because Rachel couldn’t stop from crying, what a great guy! You can tell he really cares about her! After the ceremony, the band kept the party jumpin’ with great music and tons of dancing. Everyone was killing it out there on the dance floor! Enough said, checkout the photos to see for yourself!
Wow, I can’t believe the time has so quickly came and past that Allison and Jason exchanged vows and entered into covenant relationship with one another. It seems like just the other day that I was meeting them for the first time. It’s truly amazing how fast time flies and I’m sure they’re saying the same thing. It wasn’t to long ago that Allison and Jason met for the first time. Look backing, I know for fact that Allison is grateful she took a leap of a faith and innocently offered her phone to Jason. Who would have know that such a simple gesture would lead to such a wonderful blessing. Allison and Jason’s wedding day was held at Middleton Place in Charleston. The day began with everyone getting ready at the Inn and praying that the rain holds out. Thankfully, it did. The overcast clouds were much better than pouring rain, especially for a ceremony at the Octagonal Gardens. The sun peaked through the clouds just as the ceremony began, making light for a grand entrance by Allison and her father. After the ceremony, we walked around the gardens taking advantage of the wonderful scenery. Because of the overcast lighting, I decided to shoot a little more black and white than usual. I really like the mood it created. At the reception, the band “Shimmer,” lead everyone into a spectacular evening. The band played tons of classics from Nat King Cole and Frank Sinatra to all the modern hits everyone knows. They definitely rocked the house and had everyone dancing like crazy. What a wonderful wedding my good friend Chelyse Harp of Intrigue Design & Events put together, well done!
