Pittsburgh to Niagara

Niagara Falls

It was an amazing weekend. The trip began early on Friday morning as my alarm clock violently woke me at 3am. My flight was leaving at 5:30; therefore I had no choice but to crawl out of bed and drive to the airport. I could have stay asleep for at least another hour because when I got there, turns out no one was working and apparently the check-in counter isn’t open before 4am. I figured since all the airport security problems, I’d better get there early in case something happens. After arriving in Pittsburgh I spent some time exploring the area. I was walking around downtown when I noticed a large crowd of people storming to a barricade blocking the street. It was Paramount Studios filming the new Batman movie, not sure why Paramount was there because I thought it was Warner Bros. Nevertheless, it was intriguing to see them filming a real Hollywood production. I wish I had all the gear they had on set, wow what a lot of gear.

Later that night in Pittsburgh I got to see my favorite band, Hillsong United. It was an amazing concert and well worth flying in for. The next morning, I headed north to Niagara Falls. It was only about a four-hour drive. Not to bad, especially since I’ve wanted to see the falls for quite some time now, it’s good to be back in the lower 48. Note: If you ever go to Niagara Falls, be sure to take your passport and cross the border into Canada, the best view is on their side of the water.

What a great weekend trip. Sadly it has once again come to an end. Well I’ve been sitting in the airport for seven hours now, my flight has already been delayed twice. Looks like we’re boarding soon…hopefully I’ll be home before midnight. At least I was able to write this post while waiting. I’m glad I decided to bring the laptop with me. =)

Niagara Falls

Quick Update: On the way back to Charleston, we flew through some lightning clouds. It took me a few minutes to realize that my phone was not the correct camera to be using…lol. Pretty neat though, I’ve never seen lightning from the sky before. It was really amazing when the strikes were parallel to my window.

Downtown Charleston Engagement Photos | Casey & Zack

Downtown Charleston Engagement Photo

It was five years ago when Casey & Zack first met. The night was filled with the spirit and excitement of hundreds of students, it was the opening of the high school football season, an event called Sports-A-Rama. Casey and Zack were from different schools and being that Zack’s high school was Casey’s biggest rival, they had a lot of things to talk about. After tons of talking and hanging out together, it was time to go, Casey had mixed feelings about whether or not Zack liked her because when she said goodbye, he gave her an awkward high five. But needless to say he was so nervous that he didn’t know what else to do. Thankfully they had their first date soon there after and four and half years later they became engaged. Casey and Zack are getting married next May and I’m so excited to be a part of their wedding! Congratulations on your engagement!

Fripp Island Wedding Photos – Kelly & Tom’s Wedding

“Kelly Ann, will you MARRY me?” Kelly answered without hesitation “YES, Oh my GOD YES!” It was right here on Fripp Island last year that Tom said those wonderful words to her.

It all started when they sat next to each other in Mrs. Stuart’s first grade class, who knew they would be standing here together twenty years later as husband and wife.

Tom and Kelly grew up together in a small town in New Jersey, same elementary school, same middle school. But when Tom moved away after seventh grade, distance and time came between them. Thankfully Tom returned to New Jersey their junior year of high school. On one summer night at a mutual friend’s house Tom and Kelly talked all night and the feelings began to develop again. It wasn’t until they ran into one another two years later in Philadelphia that they finally exchanged phone numbers and got to know each other all over again. Soon they had their first date and the rest is history.

No mistaking it…if you saw these two, you could definitely tell that Tommy and Kelly are best friends and they were meant to be together forever. I’m blessed to have met them both and got to capture their wedding memories, its to bad that they live so far away because I would love to have gotten to know them better. Good luck to them both on their new journey as husband and wife.

Folly Beach Wedding Photos | Katie & Benjamin’s Wedding

Katie and Benjamin absolutely love Folly Beach, in fact they love it so much that they’ve been vacationing here for the past few years. Being from Ohio, they always have to find a way to escape the cold weather and the South is certainly a great way to do so. I’m sure they were a little worried about having a destination wedding such a long way from home; especially since their close friends and friends were the most important thing to them. The ceremony was held on the beach under an expanse of crystal blue sky. When I first met with Katie and Ben a few days before the wedding, we were worried that the weather wasn’t going to hold, fortunately enough, the weatherman can never predict the correct outcome.

As the ceremony began, Benjamin’s face radiated with joy as Katie walked down the aisle. And when they shared their first dance as husband and wife, happiness gleamed from their faces and tears of joy ran from those of others. During the reception, Benjamin expressed how grateful him and Katie were for everyone who made the extensive trip, showing them both how much everyone cared. I know Katie and Benjamin are very glad to have had their wedding here in Charleston because WOW!…what an awesome wedding they were able to celebrate with everyone they love.

I figured it was a better chance of getting the lightning strike to occur.

Next time, you should try this trick with a kite and a key.. I heard this guy named Ben did it and it was awesome.
