A Wedding at the Island House | Rachel & Matt’s Wedding

Rachel and I have gotten to know each other fairly well over the past six months. Especially, since I photographed her at Matt’s wedding, engagement photos, and bridal portraits. These two first met a few years ago while interning at the Wild Dunes Resort in Mt. Pleasant. I’m happy to say that things definitely worked out really well for both of them. Rachel and Matt had a gorgeous wedding at The Island House in Charleston. I’ve shot here many times and the weather always seems to turn how better than expected. I had a great time hanging out with all the bridesmaids at Stella Nova Salon in West Ashley. They were such a fun group of crowd, it definitely made my job easier. Later that day, everyone arrived at the house to finish getting ready and prepare for the ceremony to take place on the lawn adjacent to the river. Rachel and Matt exchanged personal letters with one another before the ceremony. Matt must have said some pretty deep and meaningful words because Rachel couldn’t stop from crying, what a great guy! You can tell he really cares about her! After the ceremony, the band kept the party jumpin’ with great music and tons of dancing. Everyone was killing it out there on the dance floor!
