Hilton Head Island Wedding Photos | Derek & Susan’s Wedding

I had an AMAZING time photographing Derek and Susan’s wedding, they are such wonderful people! They came down from Kentucky to Hilton Head to fulfill Susan’s dream of getting married on the beach. Most everyone at the wedding is family. Every year their entire family has a huge reunion back home and for the past 30ish years it’s been held at the same location. However, this time they decided to change it up a bit and combine the Derek and Susan’s wedding with the a week long reunion/vacation for everyone. I’ve gotten to know Derek and Susan pretty well over the past few months and especially at the wedding, it felt like I was part of the family. Their wedding was incredible and everyone had such a blast! The morning after, we did a trash-the-dress session at sunrise on the beach. Derek and Susan both jumped in the ocean, ruining the wedding dress to symbolize that neither of them will ever marry again. What a wonderful thing!!!
